Test Panel

It is strongly recommended that a small test panel be completed before rendering. This provides a clear indication of both texture and colour.

Clean

In order to obtain maximum level of bond between the Isoboard and the coat of render, it is important to ensure the surface of the polystyrene is clean of both dust and dirt.

Mesh

As mentioned earlier it is important that the plastic mesh placed between the ISOBOARD® and the render has an overlap of about 100mm around edges and over the top of the surrounding sheets - thus completely covering the polystyrene, and creating additional strength as well as preventing unnecessary flaking.

Screws

The length of the galvanized screw is determined by the thickness of the ISOBOARD® (eg. 50mm would use 75mm galvanized screw).
